I see the GMO Victims Daily, Stop Drinking the Fear and End the Food Fights! Enuff Already…

Enough already! I hear it daily that Hawaii is Ground Zero for GMO’s, that were poisoning Paradise. We’re not, people are simply farming. The seed industry in Hawaii grows out seeds and exports them. The antis claim unknown chemicals are tested and mixed into ungodly concoctions. I see the victims of the gmo fear food fights daily, their family farmers and employees f the agriculture industry; they live in fear of being attacked, verbally assaulted and shamed online.

Enough Already…The collateral damage in this food fight is our communities, our aloha spirit and our farmers. We need leaders who lead with passion, facts and with the ability to help move us forward in a positive light. The fights do nothing,t he tit for tats online don’t solve anything. Reality is GMO’s or improved seeds are not the real problem, the problem is the battle for food has become a lucrative business for activists seeking cash or fame. Look at Gary Hoosier on Kauai and Margaret Wille on Hawaii Island; they don’t know a thing about farming yet they sound off; they have used this as a platform to gain followers and dote on their every word, yet fail to question their logic. If by chance you question them, your a shill, or Wille’s favorite is using condescension or thinly veiled racial comments. As if someones race means they are not entitled to due process!

There are no victims of chemical poisoning in Hawaii from Farmers but the fear cocktails being served out by Babes against Biotech, the Hawaii Center for food Safety and the Center for Food Safety, Shaka, Hawaii Seed, GMO Free Hawaii are certainly cultivating their fear kool aid and serving it to anyone who will listen; just don’t ask them any questions or you get banned. They don’t allow anyone questioning their cult like mentality with science, reason or logic.  The victims in this battle are farmers and our communities that are being divided.

I don’t have the answers, if I knew how to protect our farmers I would. I do know their tenacious and will survive, its in their nature but I feel their pain. Bans on Hawaii Island, Bill 113, then Kauai 2491, Now the Maui ban on farming and in-between we have had a hurricane and lava and each one is threatening agriculture and farmers in its own way. I say again,

As Farmers brace for Hurricane Iselle, I have a dream for Hawaii…What if?

The rain woke me, followed by a 4.2 magnitude earthquake. In that hazy period, I realized I needed a dream. I dream big but “What if”….

I have a Dream Hawaii
I have a Dream Hawaii

What if the hurricanes wash away all the judgement and fear that has been delivered to Hawaii’s shores.

What if we could begin again with Aloha, respect and kindness?

Could we do this Hawaii? Would you commit to this, Would fear mongering organizations like Center for Food Safety, GMO Free, The Shaka Movement, Babes against Biotech, GMO’s and Freedom and Hawaii Seed…Would you all just leave or shut your doors and start listening? Could we all commit to that? We understand there is fear and questions. Many facts that are available are lost in this noise, let’s commit to listen up Hawaii!!!

What if we could all step back and listen? Will you commit to listening to the farmers who help feed and sustain Hawaii? Our papaya growers, the ranchers who produce grass fed cattle, the Dairy Industry and Big Island Dairy, the vegetable growers like the wise Richard Ha and many others? Consumers have choices in their food system, and the activists have freedom of speech, farmers have the freedom to farm and feed us…Just because we can speak does not mean we should, sometimes the silence and listening is the step to common ground.

What if the anti-gmo free, funded activists agreed to stop hating on farmers, judging them without understanding the reality of farming in Hawaii. What if they agreed to stop using fear to push their agenda? What if we agreed to cease fire?

What if we invoked Rule # 1 – Do No Harm … Dreaming Big is Good. Dreaming is a form of planning and maybe just maybe after we rid out this storm we can find common ground for Hawaii and stop this ideological food fight battle. I have a Dream Hawaii, Are you willing to help?

How I hacked into the Maui Voter list Published online by Anti Gmo Shaka group

Bruce Douglas states pro gmo, but for the record we’re Pro agriculture bloggers hacked the groups computers…Bull!

How did myself and others including County and State officials hack into the list.

Simple, we clicked the button or entered the unsecured Url and hit enter!  Even my monkey could do it, well if I had a monkey, but you get my point! 20140514-120254.jpg

What was that URL Shakamovement.prg/voters.htm. BAM.

How hard was that peeps it wasn’t any effort at all. His statements are to cover their okole because the citizens of Hawaii should be pissed about this breech. For $50 they have endangered peoples lives and their safety, are your kidding me..Someone deserves to be held accountable and that is everyone involved with SHAKA, even their anom investors…

So now we’re hackers, no…just agvocates who are ag nerds. geeks who love food, farmers and Hawaii. We’re tired of our communities being fed fear. geeks who type and follow the anti gmo money while its hell bent on destroying Hawaii and make it their version of utopia!

Seriously folks this is has gone too far…This was no simple mistake. They have 200 to 500 petitioners working and they are paying $5 per signor to hound the public…Really how desperate are they!  Lets end this nonsense, PUSHBACK Hawaii and stop the Food fights and Fear mongering…

Poisening Paradise; Is Hawaii Ground zero?

Poisening Paradise, agriculture, farmers and ranchers are not poisoning paradise in Hawaii. We are ground zero for activism. We have been targeted and a army of paid activists have been deployed and funded through out Hawaii. They use fear and lies to poison the minds of our community against food and agriculture production, as if feeding Hawaii is a bad thing!

How do we prove that it’s a small but very vocal minority who have no moral speed bumps and regularly harass farmers online, in person and threaten people. They use the same fear and hate against politicians who are not experienced and sway votes based on re-election versus the facts. yet I digressed, how do we prove its a vocal minority? Fact is they represent less than 5% of the population of Hawaii yet act with mob like virtues. The majority wants nothing to do with this battle, they do not want to be part of the hate, fear or ugliness this vocal minority attacks anyone with if you dare not drink their kool aid. I don’t blame them, it’s often hard to ask them to wade in when you know it’s not a pretty place but to protect Hawaii and our way of life, our culture we must start speaking up!

Standing United is the only way we will ride this dip…Taking an offensive approach to educating the community and helping our politicians and community understanding agriculture is our best defense. It will not turn the tide over night but it will help and calling out the lies and tactics of paid activism is key.

The poisoning of paradise is being conducted by mainland millionaires who are infusing large amounts of cash under the guise of trusts and non profits. They have hired local activists and flown in others to fan the flames and push their agenda on Hawaii. Using our culture against us, we do not do business like his in Hawaii it’s without aloha and respect. Monsanto, the seed industry, agriculture and Hawaii’s farmers and ranchers are not the problem…The problem is paid activism by a vocal minority being funded by a few wealthy people and using fear to sway public opinion.; they are the real poison in paradise.

Biotechnology is safe and it’s proven…..Fear and myths are poisoning Hawaii but each one of us has a choice, we can choose to not drink the fear and lies and come to the table and discuss this like adults and decide for ourselves not be a social media scientist…We each have the right to choose but let’s choose based on facts not lies.

Local Chef or Activist Verbally harassing Farmers and Agvocates

Everyone is entitled to their personal choice but when you lash out at others, threaten, attack and harass them online that’s wrong whatever you label it.  These attacks keep occurring so for the first time were calling one out; plus she just went way past to far! She lashed out unprovoked at anyone who replied then decided to follow-up by harassing people online beyond the conversation thread and even went on to groups and other sites spouting lies and acting indignant as if she was attacked. Ironic since she was the cyber bully.

After we saw what was occurring we did a simple search to see who she was..

20131002-191256.jpg

Google her or here is the link http://hawaiitribune-herald.com/sections/news/local-news/citizens-sought-isle-police.html-7

She is a personal chef by  her accounts for very wealthy people as if that gives her special rights. #Fail Courtney Larson. We did discover that in January she was listed as one of Hawaii Islands most wanted, we do hope she got her criminal matters all cleared up though; as we wish no ill will on anyone, even haters.

Courtney Larson your an activist, a food eliteist, a hater, a cyber bully and you have serious issues with a lack of respect and aloha for your fellow community members and even the very same farmers and ranchers who you purchase your food from. we’re sorry your so consumed by rage and hate that your allwoing your emotions to control you.

This behavior has no Aloha and no place here. We can discus things like adults without fear and without personal attacks or threats.; her behavior is absurd and the continued hearings only make it worse. We won’t be intimidated by GMO Free Hawaii or activist for that matter…See you at the next hearing! we’re not poisening paradise, we have not contaminated anyone or any crop. we are pro agriculture and we will stand our ground.

20131002-191304.jpgShe went on a smear campaign because this Farmer speaks for options and is Pro agriculture, All agriculture somehow she switches it to be everyone’s fault but her own for picking a fight. In all fairness she later went and removed her posts from this group and she was banned from several pages due to harassment and foul comments. Some of which we captured below. This does bring us to a question; why should farmers and ranchers be harassed over their choice to keep their options open and not limit themselves?

She really didn’t want discussion she wanted people to attack; I hope she feels vindicated. Especially after going to others pages and posting harassing comments then banning them when they had done nothing.

But this is after all the same person who blamed the papaya attacks on the victim for insurance money. She has shown herself in many locations lately., all attacking with hate. Today’s #1 Hater….

Stop the Food Fights!

We’re Farmers not sex offendars

Really how dare you attack another small papaya grower? Who bought the machetes who destroyed over 100 trees this morning?

While the Hawaii Papaya Industry Association was gathering for their annual meeting and Mayor Billy Kenoi was speaking one farmer was absent; he was at his field with police overlooking destruction of his trees. A sad discovery awaited his trees had been chopped down! This is not okay, activism has gone to far now you have turned into eco terrorists! This is wrong!

We’re farmers not sex offenders, We will not register like a criminal…..
The criminals are the activists who have turned into ecoterrorists. Register the activists not farmers.

The Hawaii County Council is asking farmers to register their locations; why would they? Taking away their constitutional rights and making farm locations public access is a threat to our farmers sustainability and opens them to additional eco terrorist attacks. No were drawing the line “we will not register like a sex offender! Brenda Ford and Margaret Willie, I hope you here this, No No no and we will fight for our right to farm in Hawaii!

We work hard every day to grow affordable safe food for Hawaii….We are not causing Harm your grandstanding is harming us. Ag matters and Farmers care, clearly a few council members do not care about the harm they are causing…

End this non-sense NOW! Kill Bill 109 & 113 …. do what is right and understand farmers and agriculture before you start a public battle… DO NO HARM and this is harming farmers!

OMG Did he seriously say “We need our best scientists”

First we want to state the devastation to the environment from the molasses spill on Oahu, Hawaii deeply saddens us, there is nothing remotely funny in this disaster to Hawaii’s ecosystem. We are Loyal to the Land and this accident has done harm to Hawaii.

We had decided to not wade into this naturally sticky situation when a quote from a key politician gave me  a sore neck from whiplash my brain began turning.  Thank you Senator Brian Schatz for getting our attention!

We need our best scientists
Senator Brian Schatz “We need our best scientists”

Seriously whiplash almost occurred when I heard US Senator Brian Schatz state on KHNL/KGMB….he said quote “We need to get our best scientists into the water to find out the damage” ….” OMG Did he really just say that, yes he did! Could Senator Schatz please share that with Mr. Gary Hoosier, Brenda Ford, Margaret Willie and Mr. Bynum of the Hawaii and Kauai County Council…

After all our best scientists are real and not fake pulled off the beach where they just happen to be vacationing in ground zero, really? Did you buy that, seriously they were paid to be in Hawaii for the hearings, it can’t be a coincidence when it occurs at every hearing!  Our best scientists have published research studies and they are credible; their scientific studies have been peer-reviewed and examined by other scientists….They and their reports have been vetted by the their own peers.

Sometimes scientists know more than elected officials! Dare I say maybe more like scientists certainly understand their particular area of expertise better than anyone and most assuredly better than an elected official; but then elected Council Members such as Gary Hoosier, Brenda Ford and Margaret Willie understand how to be an activist on a County Council way better than any scientists or farmer we know, that’s for sure! Maybe scientists and farmers need to become more adept at politics to even this out.

Hawaii Governor Abercrombie speaking about activists "We need to take in points of view, It must be science based; based in Reality"
Hawaii Governor Abercrombie speaking about activists “We need to take in points of view, It must be science based; based in Reality”

A quote by  Governor Abercrombie of Hawaii, regarding the   anti-windmill activists: “Yes, we have to take points of view into account. But opinion that is merely opinion is not going to be good enough. It has to be science-based; it has to be reality-based in terms of the political nature of what is involved in global pricing right now where energy is concerned,” Abercrombie said. Mahalo Governor! Words of wisdom from our fearless leader Governor Abercrombie, Thank you guv’nor!

Now let’s share this with the a’oles on Kauai and Hawaii and especially elected officials that have run repeatedly for higher office and keep losing, only to be re-elected to county council. Now how can we best convey our message, the wise words of wisdom from politicians to politicians; after all how can you embrace science and scientists in one manner yet degrade and denigrate them in a hearing? Shouldn’t vetted scientists deserve respect from public officials;  After all you’re  elected and you’re not an expert; you’re a County Council member elected by the people to represent all of your community not the vocal minority or special interests.

Maybe the lesson for Hawaii is learning to craft better policies: Writing polices and laws based on sound evidence, good science and bringing in the experts to Hawaii that are needed and only then reacting. After all taking premature reaction without a solid foundation will cause unintended consequences to  the community, the environment, economically and socially. Two key politicians in Hawaii have spoken words of wisdom; why would Hawaii and  Kauai not listen?
